The science around the wearing of masks by the general public is advancing rapidly.
The primary route of transmission of COVID-19 is likely via small droplets from the nose & mouth, therefore reducing the spread requires two things: Physical distancing along with contact tracing and secondly the wearing of masks in public.
This will reduce the transmission of infected droplets. Remember hand washing and sanitising is also very important. Mask wearing is now a requirement on public transport.
